Beautiful composition in this piece. The symmetry and colors create a fluid guide down the page.
Posillico uses the figure as a signature character and is found in nearly all of his paintings and 3-dimensional mixed media pieces. The figures are elongated, race-less, gender-less, and composed of a single color each.
With the title of this serigraph being "Creating a Brighter Life," and looking at these figures I interpret this piece to figure out if all the people gliding down from the deep blue sky and landing on land are happy to reach a more positive and brighter world or if they are trying to go back to the sky!.

Serigraph print # 28/75, marked, signed, and dated on the front and back.

A native of Long Island, New York, Leo, has been a successful, award-winning artist for over 45 years. His work is known and praised nationally and internationally and is widely recognizable through his signature brushstroke characters.
