"When all is said and done" is an abstract artwork by Zoe Koloseus, granddaughter of Grandma Moses. The mixed media technique used features pieces of soaked paper strips mixed with oil painting.
The artist is born in Bennington, Vermont in 1925 and one of the eleven grandchildren of Grandma Moses.
Born in Greenwich, New York, Grandma Moses is the pivotal figure of the 20th-century American folk art movement, known for her decorative, naive landscape and genre paintings of rural New England. She had a precise way of organizing color and pattern. Her work suggests the nostalgia of happy times in the past. Although she had never painted seriously until she was seventy-seven, and had no formal training whatsoever, the pictures of this farm woman, whose life since childhood has been one of hard toil, have captured the critics and enchanted the public
