Designer, painter, illustrator, dyer, and book and print maker, Keisuke Serizawa (May 13, 1895 – April 5, 1984) was named a Living National Treasure by the Emperor of Japan for his distinctive kataezome style, combining Japanese dyeing techniques with those of Okinawan bingata. Included on the back is a paper with the artist's biography and exhibition history.
