This piece by Jae Carmichael (1925-2005) features a patchwork gouache painting full of emotion and colour, with broad strokes of yellow, red, green, and blue filling the artwork in horizontal and vertical directions. The overall impression of the painting is one of chaotic organisation, with the colours and brushstrokes blending together in a dynamic and expressive manner.
