Red and White Abstract Oil Painting by Lutz

A German born artist, Lutz lives in Partille outside Goteborg (Gothenburg), Sweden. Born and educated in Berlin, Germany. After a long career as an art director and typeface-designer he turned in 2006 into full-time painting and photographing.
In an interview, Lutz said :
"Perception is everything in art. The artist's goal is to influence the viewer to see the world as the artist does. This can change the viewer's mood, their mind, their outlook - even if only for a limited time.
I am a painter. Oil is my medium. I like the layers with which I can create complexity within simplicity. I know a painting is finished when I can recognize myself in it. It excites me to send the paintings out in the world to become their own through the eyes of a new beholder.; that to me is creation.
I grew up in Germany and I have been drawing and painting for as long as I remember. My grandfather was also a painter and it took many years and travels to find my own perspective. Painting is now my life."
