Shelly Bechter Shepherd was a nationally recognized watercolorist and a teacher with her studio at the Hand Workshop Art Center in Richmond, Virginia. She also taught at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and the Nimrod Hall Summer Art Program. She is a member of the Virginia Watercolor Society and the Allied Artists of America.
She died in 2011. Her artwork is held in treasure chests around the world.
